Jo Bunker has donated another of her beautiful hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted creations she calls “My Garden Quilt”. Maine Quilts 2021 This year is going to be another year with different style of Maine Quilts. The Quilt Show Advisory Committee has been working hard to get a virtual show for you all to enjoy. One of the things that will be different is that you will able to enjoy the show from the comfort of your home in your jammies if you want. Another is we will not be asking for volunteers. Our 2021 Raffle Quilt – My Garden Quilt by Jo Bunker, member from Auburn Tickets for this lovely quilt will be coming the first of April. Chapters will receive packets with tickets for each member and floaters will be sent an email with information about ticket purchase by Lori Larrabee, our new raffle chair. Already we have had a few nights where a good quilt was needed on the bed and we’re seeing apples and cider doughnuts everywhere – it’s definitely fall! There is a lot going on behind the scenes in terms of planning for Maine Quilts 2021; but there is one area where we need your help. The Volunteer Chairperson for 2021 remains open.  It’s June. The sun has been out quite a bit, and everything has turned green. It is so very nice to see all the beautiful flowers everywhere. It continues to be a difficult time for all of us. I hope that all of you are staying safe. I continue to keep busy with sewing projects and outdoor work. Although Maine Quilts 2020 has been cancelled we still have our beautiful quilt that we will be raffling off on Saturday, July 25th. What a month it has been!! Who could have possibly imagined that we would ever be in the position we are in right now? I don’t have any words to adequately describe what is going on. I know that all of us are in a very difficult situation but I also know that all of us are working to make that situation a little less difficult in whatever way we can. That is the silver lining.
