Critical Area of Need for Volunteers  We appreciate our volunteers, without whom this show would not happen! Please give us a few hours of your time. We desperately need volunteers for Take Down, Quilters Walk, Member Table, Show Set up, Merchandise and white glove. Each shift is two-hours and will grant you admission to the show either on the day you volunteer or another day of your choosing. We are offering a chair for the standing positions, you need not stand the whole time during your shift. We need volunteers over the age of 18 and you need not be a quilter. Come join our community and help support the quilters in your family. Your grandmother or mother does not need to do all the work. Our quilt show needs your help to keep it going. Introducing the lineup of teachers for Maine Quilts 2026  Cindy Grisdela – www.cindygrisdela.com – Known for her color, texture and her improv art quilts. A modern quilt teacher who has published books, “Artful Improv and Adventures in Improv Quilts”. Cindy will be teaching Fabulous Freehand Curves, Artful Improv Medallion, Improv Puzzle and Go Wild with Prints and Solids. Blanket Permission List I’m sure that many of you are already working on, or have already completed, quilts to enter in Maine Quilts 2026. All “blanket permissions” require that proper pattern, book, publisher, and/or designer credit be given. It is so easy ~ just go to the website, select Maine Quilts, look under the tab “Blanket Permissions” scroll down the list to see if your favorite designer is listed.  If you have any questions about getting permission from a designer, please contact me and we’ll figure it out together.  Maine Quilts is in need of an Equipment Chairperson Calling all grandsons, brothers, uncles and husbands. More →

Theme for Maine Quilts 2026 is the “Quilting through the Seasons”.  Now is the time to be thinking about what your challenge for the theme row will be.   The Workshop Committee is meeting to choose classes for this coming year, 2026.  Next years’ show pin has been selected and will be ready for a sneak peek next month.   We are still in need for Chairpersons for 2026 – Equipment, Workshop Monitor, and Raffle Quilt.  If you would like to become part of the “team” please contact me.  We need your support to make this show happen.  More →
