    Please join us September 12, 2026, for an opportunity to learn from our guest speaker, Larry Clifford, who will share his knowledge about making quilt designs from books. Have you ever wondered what to do with the hardcover books that collect dust in your family’s basement or attic? You don’t want them to end up in the landfill. Larry gives new life to old books by repurposing the covers, pages, and spines for the BiblioQuilts he creates: unique works of art based on traditional quilt designs.     Area 1 Meeting hosted by Presumpscot Quilters featuring International Textile Artist, MJ Kinman.  This meeting is scheduled for September 17, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  This will be held at the Clarion Hotel, 1230 Congress, Street, Portland. Guest Speaker: MJ Kinman presenting "The Magic of Color Interaction"  MJ Kinman is passionate about using innovative quilting techniques to create quilts inspired by color theory and sparkling gems.  Her artistry has been exhibited at national and international quilt shows, events and museums.   MJ has won multiple prestigous awards for her work.  She has published two books, "Gemstone Quilts" and new in 2025 "Crack the Color Code".
