The following Chair positions are waiting for YOU to volunteer!
Are you ready to get involved in something new? Then I have just the thing for you! There are still a few opportunities for YOU to become a chairperson for Maine Quilts 2022. These Chair positions are filled by an individual who takes on the responsibilities of that portion of Maine Quilts. Here are the available positions and what each one does:
Quilt Layout Chair: develops the layout of all quilts at the show; oversees the hanging of quilts during show set-up.
Show Set-up Chair: works with Volunteer Chair to assign volunteers to hang quilts, helps with set-up of quilts and other displays.
Volunteer Chair: arranges for volunteers to help with various aspects of the show, solicits volunteers, processes volunteer registration, prepares for volunteers in-person registration at show.
Please email me at info@mainequilts.org or give me a call at 207-216-7358 to let me know which Chair position you would like to take on, and join in the excitement of being part of making Maine Quilts the best show in New England…and beyond!

The Workshop Committee is meeting in a few days to finalize selections for the numerous workshops that will be offered at this year’s show. The lineup of teachers is fantastic! Be watching for lots of details on the workshops in upcoming “Piecing Together Maine Quilts” as well as in “Patchwork Press”.
This year’s theme, “Maine Seas First Light”, gives you so many opportunities to be creative with your designing and sewing. The theme also lends itself to the beautiful design of the 2022 Show Pin (here is your sneak peak at this year’s pin!).
While you’re planning your fall and winter sewing projects, be sure to include a quilt (or two or three) to submit in this year’s show. Get creative as you prepare Challenge quilt entry!
Take time to enjoy some of Maine’s fall foliage this month while still dreaming ahead to Maine Quilts 2022. See you there!
