Description

Freezer Paper Piecing Workshop – Somerset Scrap Star

In response to member requests, this fall will feature an in-person workshop in Skowhegan.  Kathy Hopkins will present, Freezer Paper Piecing with the Somerset Star, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, downstairs at the William Clark Insurance Agency at 95 W Front St, Skowhegan, ME 04976 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Do you need to make a quick quilt and/or reduce your scrap pile?  Kathy will cover how to draft a pattern to fit your sized scraps and how to use freezer paper for precise piecing with no papers to tear out after.  Reduce your scrap pile and quickly create a table runner, wall or lap quilt at this workshop.  Talk with fellow quilters, make new friends and share quilting tips at this event.

There are 15 spaces available for this in-person class and registration is on the PTQG website at https:// http://www.mainequilts.org. More information and details can be found on the registration page. Please bring your own sewing machine and the required supplies listed on the registration website for this hands-on workshop. The cost for this class is $15.
