Blanket Permission List

I’m sure that many of you are already working on, or have already completed, quilts to enter in Maine Quilts 2026. All “blanket permissions” require that proper pattern, book, publisher, and/or designer credit be given. It is so easy ~ just go to the website, select Maine Quilts, look under the tab “Blanket Permissions” scroll down the list to see if your favorite designer is listed.  If you have any questions about getting permission from a designer, please contact me and we’ll figure it out together.

Maine Quilts is in need of an Equipment Chairperson

Calling all grandsons, brothers, uncles and husbands.  This job requires someone who has muscle and is willing to move some boxes.  We need someone to rent a UHaul, collect everything from storage, load her up and bring it to the Augusta Civic Center and then do it all again on Saturday.  I know it sounds like a big job and it is.  Are you that person? Please get in touch with me – email is preferred. info@mainequilts.org

I would like to send out a special thank you to Barbara Wood, our new Raffle Quilt Chairperson and Gail Robertshaw, our new Workshop Monitor Chairperson.  Thank you so much for volunteering and welcome to the team.

Quilter’s Walk Raffles

Is your group thinking of donating a basket to the Quilter’s Walk Raffle table? The highly sought after baskets have been a great attraction due to the variety and creativity of the donors. The theme-based baskets from chapters and members have been loaded with products from gadgets, tools, thread, books, patterns and fabric. Did you know all money collected helps defray the costs of the annual quilt show? Roughly $5000 is generated every year.

Helpful Hints:

Let us know if your group will be donating a basket, we like to limit the baskets to 21. Baskets are valued starting at $150 and range up to $250. Items are new and unused.

Other Chairperson positions open: Theme Row Designer, – this could also be co-chair position – ask a friend and volunteer together!
