Three weeks from tomorrow I leave for the show! I am really looking forward to this show and must thank all the volunteer chairs and volunteers that are working so hard to put this together! It is a team effort and much appreciated!
- We need white glove volunteers! Can you help us on Wednesday night, Champagne Preivew night? We also have needs every day of the show! Merchandise table would love some sellers Wednesday night and most afternoons! Please contact Susan Bulay at volunteer@mainequilts.org or 827-6136.
- Saturday, July 21 is Quilt Delivery Day, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at your designated location. Remember to add a sleeve at least 4” wide and no more than 88” from the bottom of the quilt, label and a covered label if it is judged. Please bring quilt in a cloth bag with your contact info printed on the bag. Pick up your receipt for quilt pickup Saturday night, July 28.
- Thank you to all the volunteers who signed up by July 1 and are now eligible to win a Handi Quilter Stitch 710 sewing machine. The drawing will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the show.
- We’ll see you Wednesday night for Champagne Preview. First chance to see all our lovely quilts and the vendors. Registration for Advance Admission to the show includes admission to Champagne Preview, multi day pass for Thursday – Saturday and a tote bag, all for $20. Deadline for Advance Admission is postmark July 15.
- Thursday, our first full day is guaranteed to be a busy one! We all like to be first! Check out the quilts, take a workshop, buy a tee-shirt, buy raffle tickets, see a demo, go to the noon lecture, check out the Special Exhibits and visit Quilters’ Walk.
- Friday, go to a different noon lecture and more demos. Enjoy Friday night dinner and “Hawaiian Quilting – Its History, Traditions and Superstitions” with Nancy Chong. Last day to sign up for the Dinner and box lunches is July 23.
- Saturday, go to the noon lecture, more demos, find out if you won a raffle or items from Quilters’ Walk and stay for quilt pickup and takedown. We are still looking for volunteers for takedown. Please contact Susan Bulay at volunteer@mainequilts.org or 827-6136.
