Speaker : Linda Throckmorton - After moving to Cutler, Maine in 1975, I had to redirect my competitive spirit. I learned to quilt using sewing skills I’d had for 32 years. My teachers were 2 women, with whom we were founders of PTQG at the 1977 quilt show. Besides building and running Gingham, my fabric shop, I entered every block contest I found. My entries in the Hoffman Challenge began with their third year, lasting until they went digital, just before COVID. I served as the Area 5 Representative and Special Events committee for 14 years. |
