    The January 31, 2026, Members’ Meeting guest speakers will be a collaboration of members from Art Quilts Maine and Crazy Quilters of Maine. A variety of stations surrounding the room will highlight members’ techniques and passions. Embroidery is the highlight from the Crazy Quilters of Maine. There will also be examples of how to add beads, 3D flowers from ruching, Chicken Scratch, Braille Embroidery with ½ pearls, covered buttons, big stitch, thread painting, couching, and more. Have you ever wondered how to add any of these techniques to your quilted projects to highlight and enhance their appearance? Come find out how in January.

  • Members Meeting – April 25, 2026

    The PTQG Members Meeting will be held Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. Location:  Hope Baptist Church, 728 Western Avenue, Manchester, Maine There will be a cookie swap, bring your favorite cookie to share. Our guest speaker is Bettina Havig,  who will share a talk exploring the traditions of English, Welsh, and Irish quilts all of which are the predecessors of our American quilt traditions. This program is part travel log, part quilt show, and part personal exploration into the modern-day quilts of the UK and Ireland.  Along with the business meeting, there will be door prizes.  Make sure you bring your lunch and drink!

    Area 1 Meeting hosted by Presumpscot Quilters featuring International Textile Artist, MJ Kinman.  This meeting is scheduled for September 17, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  The Location to be Announced at a later date. Guest Speaker: MJ Kinman presenting "The Magic of Color Interaction"  MJ Kinman is passionate about using innovative quilting techniques to create quilts inspired by color theory and sparkling gems.  Her artistry has been exhibited at national and international quilt shows, events and museums.   MJ has won multiple prestigous awards for her work.  She has published two books, "Gemstone Quilts" and new in 2025 "Crack the Color Code".  Please visit https://mjkinman.com
