Champagne & Pearls – Saturday, July 29th – Full-Day Workshop

Krista Moser – Versatile and Foolproof!
Looking for a great quilt to learn new skills? Something that looks complicated but is so easy you won’t believe it! This quilt has the beauty of tradition, but could be changed up with holiday colors or maybe even patriotic! It’s a star with a hidden gem in the background detail. You will learn some foolproof piecing techniques you can use on any future quilting project. Krista will teach you all the tips and tricks for cutting and piecing diamonds and triangles in an easy, fast, and precise way. If you have been wanting to break out of the same old quilting routine and try something different, this class will inspire confidence and equip you with new techniques. Log on to www.mainequilts.org and register today!
Volunteers are needed
Won’t you donate two or more volunteer hours to Maine Quilts 2023? Volunteers are needed for a variety of duties during show hours. We also need volunteers to help with show set up on Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26 and especially show take down on Saturday, July 29. All volunteers receive free admission to the show for the day they volunteer. Those who volunteer on Quilt Delivery Day, Tuesday or Wednesday will have their names on a list for free one-day admission on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Everyone who signs up by July 1st AND works every shift they signed up for will have their name entered for every shift in a special drawing for a Bernina 475 QE sewing machine, MSRP $2999. Thank you to The Cotton Cupboard Quilt Shop for donating the sewing machine. Plus, for each two hour shift you volunteer you will receive one ticket for the daily drawing for other prizes. Go to www.mainequilts.org, select the Volunteer Opportunities tab. Please sign up early.
Calling all Demonstrators!
Do you have a special technique or a quilting tool you’d be willing to share with others? A 15-to-20-minute presentation is all that is required. To get a slot on the roster please contact Esther Libby at elibby@roadrunner.com
