Fall is almost here. I don’t know about you but it seemed to me that summer was awfully short. Work has already started on the 2020 show which promises to be an exciting show that celebrates Maine’s 200th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote.
2020’s show will feature everything from modern quilts to antique quilts. There will be something for everyone.
If you have never submitted a quilt for judging consider giving it a try. The judging process is truly an opportunity to get feedback on your quilts and to learn, In a positive environment, what you can do to continue to improve your skills. Individuals who have undergone this process have stated that it was very helpful
As we begin work on next years’ show I want to mention that we have a need for a few volunteer chairs. If you might be interested please let me know. Please know that you will have support. Former chairs are definitely willing to provide some guidance to the new chairs. If you haven’t volunteered with PTQG now is the time to stretch yourself. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and have some fun. If you have questions or would like a little more information I would be happy to talk to you.
As we head into fall and winter here is my challenge to you (and myself). Think about what quilt you would like to enter in to next years’ show. Think about what you would like to do for the Pine Tree Guilt Guild Challenge?
Enjoy the fall and Happy Quilting!!
