Spring is here- Almost!!
The show will be here before you know it. Have you signed up for classes yet? Don’t delay- Classes are filling up!! I am also hopeful that many of you are planning on displaying a quilt at the show- Please share your work!
Just an FYI -We do need white glove volunteers on Thursday, July 25th. Due to a misprint there are no signup spaces on the form. Don’t let that stop you from volunteering to be a white glove volunteer on that day. We need volunteers every day!
Our Charity for the 2019 show is the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence (MCEDV). We will be supporting this very worthy charity by conducting a Silent Auction. The MCEDV operates the statewide domestic violence helpline and also provides assistance to domestic violence programs throughout the state through education and policy development. Please consider assisting by making a donation to the auction, bidding on an item or volunteering. We need your help. PTQG members have a strong tradition of supporting many good causes and I am sure that will be the case this year. I can’t wait to see what the donations will be. Be sure to bring your wallets!! Jill Fox and Mary Saucier from Cobblestone Quilters are the co- Chairs for this charity event.
The Silent Auction will be open daily from 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM when the bidding closes. Winners will be announced each day and items may be paid for and picked up by 4:00 PM the same day. Since different items will be available each day it is important to come check out what is available. Bid early and often!!
We are looking for donations with a minimum value of $25.00. Donations can be quilted items or other handcrafted items but they can also be other items that you would like to bid on such as sewing items or gift cards. Forms will be available at the April members meeting. A blank form is also attached with this monthly update. Donations may be brought to the April members meeting. Donations may also be given to your area rep who can arrange to get them down to me or one of the co-chairs. You may also contact me to make arrangements to get the items to the right place. Donations must be made by July 10th.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Jill Fox at JFOX10@maine.rr.com or Mary Saucier at SAUCIM@mmc.org
