Have you ever wanted to make a Mariner’s Compass block but were too intimidated?  Not a fan of paper piecing or using tedious templates?  You’ll love this class for learning how to make 16-point compass blocks using Robin Ruth Design’s rulers and STRIP PIECING method!  Join Robin and learn all the compass basics as you make a Skinny Robin or Fat Robin Compass block – your choice! This class will enable you to be ready to tackle any block or project made using Robin’s rulers.

Robin Ruth

What started as a quest to make a Mariner’s Compass quilt for her submarine officer husband, Robin Long took an idea she had in 1992 and launched Robin Ruth Design in 2015.  She has developed a line of revolutionary rulers, books, patterns, and technique for making STRIP PIECED mariner’s compass blocks and projects – that’s right, NO PAPER PIECING!  Robin has become an internationally known quilt teacher and gives classes all across the country. She also is a sought-after quilt designer for fabric companies such as FreeSpirit, Windham, and Clothworks. Her quilts have been in many shows including International Quilt Festival, QuiltCon, and Road to California.
