Diane Harris, also known as Stash Bandit, from Bladen, Nebraska. After 11 years as an editor for Quiltmaker magazine, Harris started Stash Bandit in 2017 to share her quilts and her scrappy ideas with quilters everywhere. She’s known for combining unlikely fabrics in unusual ways to create unique and beautiful quilts that provide a visual feast, but are also meant to be used. “There’s no fancy piecing in these quilts,” she says, “because I believe in letting the fabric do the work.” She resists using fabrics that match, and thinks that a little clash can be a quilter’s best friend.
