Maine Quilts 2024 – WHAT AN AWESOME SHOW!

Volunteer sewing machine winner Merlene Sanborn with Evelyn Caruso from The Cotton Cupboard, who generously donated the Bernina 475 machine.

I want to take a minute to thank everyone who volunteered to help with this year’s show. It could not have been done without you! I also want to thank everyone who attended the show or participated in workshops, lectures, or demonstrations, or visited the vendors or participated in the show in any way. There were many, many, many beautiful quilts, and many wonderful, experienced teachers. There were great items in the Silent Auction and in the Quilters Walk. The Thursday night dinner was yummy, and Sarah Ann’s talk was amazing! The vendors had lots of fantastic new and unique items for sale. The demonstrations and lectures were entertaining, and the merchandise sold like hotcakes. The volunteers showed up and worked their magic. In my opinion (and I hope in yours) the show was a complete success! With PTQG’s membership support and participation we can continue to make the Maine Quilts show a wonderful event. For all of you that made the commitment to give us some of your free time and energy please pat yourself on the back. Your efforts are what make this show succeed. As I scooted around on my Candy Apple Red Convertible, I noticed you all in your places, doing what needed to be done to ensure this show was successful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
