The January 27, 2024, PTQG Members’ Meeting will be held at Hope Church, 728 Western Avenue in Manchester, Maine, beginning at 10:00 am. The agenda will include a business meeting, budget vote, show and tell, and lunch. After lunch, our speaker, Bonnie Dwyer, will share some of her family’s quilts talk about “Six Generations of Maine Quiltmakers”.
Bonnie took up quilting in the mid-1980’s. She has studied quilt history, fabric dating, quilt repair & restoration, quilt appraising and earned national certification by the American Quilters’ Society in 2006. She developed an appreciation for art quilts, improvisational quilts, and the modern quilting trend. Consequently, her repertoire is eclectic – from 19th Century American quilts to The Modern Quilt Guild. Although now retired, Bonnie has had a diverse quilting career that has included judging, teaching workshops, lecturing, and presenting trunk shows. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Bonnie speak.
