We will be live at Hope Baptist Church in Manchester, Maine. All are welcome, bring a brown bag lunch, and enjoy a lecture by Kathie Beltz. The PTQG Board asks the following responsibilities are observed for a safe and comfortable meeting. We are excited to welcome everyone back! Please bring a brown bag lunch. 135th PTQG Members’ Meeting

The January Members’ Meeting will be held at Hope Church, 728 Western Avenue, Manchester, Maine, beginning at 10 a.m. with the business meeting, show and tell, and lunch, followed by the speaker, Brooke Biette of Dust and Waves Textiles. Brooke is a Maine native who moved west, landing in Arizona for a few years, and is now back in Maine. She has 30 years of quilting experience and 5 years of self-taught ice and snow dyeing of fabric. Brooke will talk a bit about her dyeing process, how and why she got started, how she mixes dyed fabrics with contemporary and vintage fabrics in her

The Fall Member’s meeting of the Pine Tree Quilters Guild, Inc will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 10 a.m.  Following lunch, Gladi Porsche, Gladi Porsche Quilts – Gladi Porsche Quilts (gladiquilts.net) will be the lecturer.  Gladi designs her own quilts and will be telling us about her journey with a trunk show. 138th PTQG Members’ Meeting

After lunch, our speaker, Bonnie Dwyer, will share some of her family’s quilts talk about “Six Generations of Maine Quiltmakers.”

The April Members’ Meeting will be held at Hope Church, 726 Western Avenue, Manchester, Maine, beginning at 10 a.m. with the business meeting, show and tell, and lunch, followed by the speaker, Wendy Caton Reed. Wendy Caton Reed will present a trunk show that involves a short bit of quilt history. She will follow with a spectacular showing of historic quilts that will show how techniques and fabrics have changed over time.  You won’t want to miss this informative talk!

PTQG Members’ Meeting – Saturday January 25, 2025

10:00:  Business Meeting 12:30 (roughly) - Guest Speaker  (Laurie Lebar)  - Curator at the Maine State Museum for past 23 years.  She curated nationally recognized exhibits, authored and co-authored many papers and books, expertly cared for Maine’s cultural heritage, and traveled across the state as a lecturer. One of Laurie’s finalprojects at the museum was setting up an exhibition at the museum based on her book, "Maine Quilts: 250 Years of Comfort and Community". The exhibit is slated to open when the museum reopens in late 2025. Our speaker, Laurie LaBar, will share some of her stories and beautiful images of historical Maine-made quilts. Her

The PTQG Members Meeting will be held Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. Location:  Hope Baptist Church, 728 Western Avenue, Manchester, Maine There will be a cookie swap, bring your favorite cookie to share. Our guest speaker is: Kate Gawler.  She will share a talk and trunk show about “What Makes a Quilt Modern?” Along with the business meeting, there will be door prizes.  Make sure you bring your lunch and drink!
