DESCRIPTION:Speaker : Linda Throckmorton – After moving to Cutler\, Maine in 1975\, I had to redirect my competitive spirit. I learned to quilt using sewing skills I’d had for 32 years. My teachers were 2 women\, with whom we were founders of PTQG at the 1977 quilt show. Besides building and running Gingham\, my fabric shop\, I entered every block contest I found. My entries in the Hoffman Challenge began with their third year\, lasting until they went digital\, just before COVID. I served as the Area 5 Representative and Special Events committee for 14 years.
