She curated nationally recognized exhibits, authored and co-authored many papers and books, expertly cared for Maine’s cultural heritage, and traveled across the state as a lecturer. One of Laurie’s finalprojects at the museum was setting up an exhibition at the museum based on her book, "Maine Quilts: 250 Years of Comfort and Community".
